Happy St. Patrick's Day

As much as I like corned beef and cabbage, I don’t typically make it on St. Patrick’s Day. I don’t cook it because Lynn usually cooks it for me. I posted her recipes for St. Patrick’s Day on here a couple of years ago, and if you are looking for some traditional recipes with a twist, check it out! So, this year I am joining Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch to share my St. Patrick’s Day table setting. I had hoped to share a recipe for a scrumptious dessert, but I am just getting over a nasty bout of flu (Note to self: Don’t forget your flu shot next year!), so I didn’t get around to baking. I’m happy I put this table together a couple weeks ago, so I can share it with you today.

I, as usual, didn’t want to buy special plates for St. Patrick’s Day (even though they had some really cute ones at Home Goods!), so I gathered up my green leaf plates and my favorite green glasses and forged ahead.

I like how the green apples and oranges look on the white oblong platter for my centerpiece. I wanted some beautiful orange tulips for my pitcher, but the grocery store didn’t have any, and I didn’t want to travel further afield for flowers.
I love these leaf plates, and found four of them at Marshalls.

I did buy some green clover placemats and St. Patrick’s Day tea towels I used for napkins.
I am really excited about these plates I found at Marshalls. They are Lenox Butterfly Meadow Cloud. I love their pretty raised pattern and scalloped cloud like edge. I bought twelve of them, and can’t wait to use them again.

I found these glasses at Home Goods a couple of years ago, and I use them all the time! I never knew green glasses could be so versatile.
The silver was my mother-in-law’s and I love it.

Please check out other great table displays at Between Naps on the Porch.
